Model and version selection

SIMCom A7670E is an LTE Cat 1 module with up to 10 Mbps downlink and 5 Mbps uplink in an LCC+LGA package. The existing product photos show bare A7670E modules. The A7670E card in the Datasheet Center shows a core-board example; board interfaces and accessories are not automatically included with a bare module.

A7670E documentation covers different hardware generations. The 2022 A7670 Series Hardware Design V1.05 includes an A7670E LTE/GSM configuration, while the 2024.03 A7670E specification describes an ASR1602 LTE-FDD version and marks B28 as optional. Do not combine these documents into a single guaranteed band or feature set. Confirm the full part number and hardware/firmware revision when requesting a quote.

Check GSM fallback, B28, BLE, GNSS and pin compatibility against the exact configuration. References to SIM7000/SIM7070 or SIM800 family compatibility require a hardware and firmware review before replacement. Request the applicable certification documents for the supplied configuration and destination market.
